Nap Pepin, a Canadian engineer, bought a kit for a BugE electric vehicle a few years ago. Now, he has managed to develop a three-wheeled vehicle he called “Lithium Hawk EV” all by himself.

The Lithium Hawk EV is able to reach the speed of 197 km/h (122 mph) and can be compared with any other high end trike.

To create Lithium Hawk electric trike, Pepin used the best technologies available on the market. Powered by lithium-ion batteries, the “Hawk” is entirely framed out of aluminum, which makes it fast and light.

The vehicle incorporates 1,976 lithium cells, which provide enough energy to power a 50 hp AC induction brushless motor. The inventor estimates that his electric trike has a range of 240 km (150 miles) on a single charge.

Besides this, Hawk also features impressive dimensions, the front end is 66 inches wide and the chassis has an 11 inch ground clearance. Currently, the vehicle is still under tests. Below is a short video where you can see Papin while riding and talking about the Lithium Hawk EV.
