Hydrogen Tank Exploded in Green Fuel Station. Is The Technology Safe Enough for Cars?

Hydrogen, the most clean fuel in the universe, has been seen with skepticism by many. Although bad events involving exploded hydrogen tanks are rare, Monroe County's (NY) hydrogen station on Scottsville Road experienced the explosion of two tanks filled with hydrogen.

Norway Inaugurates Hydrogen Highway, Obama Quits the Plan

I was glad when I read an article last night describing how Norway opened up a 560 km "hydrogen highway", and inaugurated it with a hydrogen car rally between Oslo and a North Sea oil hub, Stavanger. The cars were regular Ford Focuses, Priuses, and other well-known, converted either into burning hydrogen directly in their classic internal combustion engine, or using fuel cells to convert hydrogen to electricity (probably the case of the Prius).

Portable Fuel Cell Charger by Horizon, Now Available Commercially

Horizon, a fuel cell manufacturing company from Singapore, has recently unveiled a small hydrogen fuel cell charger that could juice your gadgets (PDA, phone, MP3, etc). It's called MiniPAK, and it uses refillable solid-state hydrogen cartridges (called HydroSTIK) to store its power.

Bacteria Produces Hydrogen In More "Harsh" Conditions

Genetic engineering allowed human kind to evolve and differentiate certain species of food, make them better or more productive. Likewise, genetic engineering is blamed to have ruined the natural evolution path of the affected plants or animals. Now, genetic engineering is being used to extract energy for us, in the form of hydrogen.
