If our loyal readers remember, we recently posted an article about Ford's map of the best US cities to drive an electric vehicle in. Boston residents will probably remember their city as being one of them. Now Ford is not giving up on the task and is putting in practice the plans for the infrastructure: until 2012, the company wants to have Boston's streets nice and ready for its Ford Focus Electric.

Ford's First Fully Electric Car Displayed at CES in Las Vegas

The production of Ford Motor Company's first ever gas-free, zero emissions fully electric car was made public on 7th January 2011 at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The car is entirely made of sustainable materials and is powered by a 23 kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery, being able to reach a top speed of 84 miles per hour.

Electric Ford Focus On The Market by 2011

This Monday, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Ford announced their intentions to build a next-generation Ford Focus, an all-electric version of the vehicle, starting next year.
