This may sound like old news, but back in December 2008, BBC’s Top Gear test drove and released a scathing review and video of the Tesla Motors Roadster. Subsequently, Tesla Motors saw what it felt was a corresponding decrease in interest in Tesla Motors, suing BBC for libel and damages. The case was tossed, but […]

Now, filming for a new series of their Top Gear show, petrolhead Jeremy Clarkson and his crew apparently rode a Nissan Leaf for 30 miles until the battery ran out, only to show how they don't believe electric cars are not the future, and have some spectators push the car to the nearest wall socket, at the University of Lincoln.

Of course, maybe you've watched Top Gear's Prius evaluation a few years ago. It was about the 2001 generation of the hybrid, and they've been a little harsh to it (Jeremy Clarkson showed us how fun it is to rifle a high tech car). Now, the all-famous Jeremy Clarkson didn't rifle anything (yet), but what he was trying to prove with this Tesla Roadster video just isn't fair.

I really didn't like what Top Gear guys did the last time to a Prius, but this time I think they have a point (partially). They're going to race a Toyota Prius (1.5L)versus a BMW M3 (4L). Of course the BMW will win the competition... but wait... not the speed competition. The BMW will get 19mpg and the Prius only 17mpg. Why is that? Does it prove that the Prius is more gas-guzzler than the BMW? No.

...and here's the HyWire technology, the one the world has been talking about in the last few months. It's a concept made by General Motors, there is only one example of it made, and it runs on fuel cell power. I mean... hydrogen power.
