Coulomb Technologies Installs 4,600 EV Charging Stations In The U.S. for Free

Probably following Ford's 5,000 home charging stations giveaway, Coulomb Technologies plans to install 4,600 electric vehicle charging stations, with a third of them installed only in the company's homeland: California. They already have 700 charging stations around the U.S., charging 130 electric car owners.

Holland to Have Europe's First Commercial EV Charging Station in Leeuwarden (Preparing for LEAF?)

Holland has been targeted as the first European country that will sell Nissan's Leaf, the first mass-produced electric car with an affordable price (under $30,000). It is logical, then, that Holland is also the first European country to adopt fast-charging EV stations.

By April 2010, Toyota will put in place around 21 charging stations for plug-in hybrid vehicles(PHVs) and electric vehicles(EVs)in Aichi Prefecture . The most interesting thing about these stations is the fact that they are charging themselves using solar power.

This year's Tokyo Motor Show was dominated by the Nippon market, Alpina and Lotus being the only foreigners with a stand at the show. Big companies like Daihatsu, Honda, Toyota, Suzuki, Nissan and Mitsubishi presented a lot of new concepts and hybrid or electric cars.
