GM will provide new equipment for the new Chevy Volt electric-gasoline vehicle beside other GM models. The equipment consists of wireless charging stationa that will be able to charge cell phones alongside other similar small devices. As a consequence, the ones who own these types of cars won’t have to use the car charger any longer.
Cell phone charging cords are quite small, but when they are more, they form a pile of waste together. So, each time you buy a new mobile phone, this pile of waste gets bigger.
The European industry thinks about the development of a universal charger, but this is still a problem for the ones who keep a charger in the car and another at home, being too lazy to move it from one place to the other. Therefore, the wireless charging cord represents the solution for their needs.
When we refer to electric vehicles, sustainability plays an important role. People may have access to a cool new parking lot with solar power canopies, although their home doesn’t have a perfect site for a solar power installation. They could charge up their EV batteries at the parking lot, together with several devices inside their cars. Thus, the car can represent a portable solar power collector and gives you the opportunity to put together and store solar energy in your absence. This stored energy can be used to power up the electronics in your own home.
Maybe GM exceeds the users’ expectation with Vol’s wireless charger, since this car has become something like an avatar for every green dream one can have. GM even intends to make car parts out of the remains left from the disaster that took place at BP’s Gulf of Mexico.
