Few people know about Magna. Magna is an Austrian car company that recently showed the MILA EV concept, an electric car. What is the connection with BMW?
MILA EV is developed together with BMW.
The concept is a 3 door hatchback, with detachable power module (batteries and electric drive motors). It also has an integrated solar panel on top of the car roof, providing extra free energy.
The advantage of using MILA EV technology is that you can lease the equipment and easily integrate it in other cars. This decreases the costs of having proprietary battery packs.
Voices say that the price of the pack will not lower than the car “shell”, so the car might be bought more for the electric equipment on it than for the car itself.
