Honda has announced that a new Jazz Hybrid motor will be launched at the Paris Motor Show in September, marking the first time a parallel hybrid vehicle has been available to B-segment consumers.

The Honda IMA motor system has been used in over half a million vehicles that benefit of its fuel economy and low emission rates. The new model will be a combination between the Insight hybrid and the 1.3 liter i-VTEC engine, and like the first, it will be capable of running on electricity alone at medium and low speeds.

What distinguishes the new model from the Jazz range are the headlights, with a blue surround, the rear lights, the front grill and the bumpers. The new hybrid will also be available in a wider range of colors, including Lime Green metallic. For the first time Jazz model in Europe, the new hybrid is also available with leather trim.

Honda is expected to put the Jazz hybrid on sale in some European markets in the early part of 2011, prices and full specifications being announced in due course. Honda Motor Co., Ltd. is also the largest manufacturer of motorcycles in the world and one of the leading manufacturers of automobiles.
