The release of next-generation Nest Learning Thermostat was announced yesterday by the leading manufacturer Nest Labs Inc. Not even a year after the official introduction of the product on the global market, the new model is already available but now slimmer, sleeker, and compatible with 95 percent of low-voltage household heating and cooling systems. Current customers get industry-first energy-saving features for even higher savings and comfort.
According to Apple alum Tony Fadell, Nest founder and chief executive, in one year the company has registered customers from every U.S state and across Canada. The aim is to help people save energy and at the same time feel even more content in their own homes.
The new Nest Learning Thermostat has an impressive design. All-stainless steel ring that blends in with virtually any decoration or color of the walls, creating the chameleon effect. This stunning product, combined with its increased compatibility, two-stage cooling, three-stage heating, emergency heat for heat pumps, whole-home humidifiers and dehumidifiers, makes it a “must-have” addition to any household.
Nest Labs Inc. also introduced the upgrade of their operational software version 3.0, which is available to all new and existing customers. It now provides additional controlling functions that allow activation of more energy saving features. One of these is the new enhanced Auto-Away and Auto-Schedule function, which can be personalized to match their owner’s busy schedules.
Since 90% of the existing customers have made use of the remote control feature, Nest Labs Inc has decided to treat them further, they can now control all available functions through the latest models and apps for iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones, computer web browsers, and Android tablets – Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire. Additionally, it is now possible to select a default language on Nest and the Nest apps from English, Spanish or French.
