During filming of the upcoming sci-fi movie, Transcendence, Elon Musk took lead actor Johnny Depp out for a test drive in the Tesla Model S, but things may not have gone exactly as planned.
Of course, going out for a test drive, you never know exactly what you might expect. We always hope for the best, of course, such as actor Paul Walker going on his last joy ride with best-friend Roger Rodas. No one expects such a thing, but at least we’re not talking about something so serious today. Even the rich and famous, such as Elon Musk and Johnny Depp going out for a test drive in a Tesla Model S, are just as “normal” as the rest of us.
During the filming of upcoming the science-fiction film “Transcendence” (of course, this incident had to be a few months ago), lead actor Johnny Depp was introduced to Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk. Of course, what could come from such an introduction than a test drive in a Tesla Model S? Somewhat surprisingly, Mr. Depp didn’t have any experience with the car, and what could come from such inexperience than Elon Musk pushing his Tesla Model S to the limit?
Push it to the limit they did, and perhaps the police may not have taken notice of the speeding Tesla Model S, if it hadn’t been for co-star Paul Bettany riding on Johnny Depp’s lap. Elon Musk and crew were lighthearted about the incident, but the police officer was decidedly unenthusiastic, needing “a humor chip” as Mr. Depp put it. (This isn’t the first electric vehicle speeding ticket. That was over a century ago.) Oh well, I guess we’re all human, after all, even if Elon Musk is decidedly larger-than-life.
