Tesla Model S Test Drive Video, Panasonic to be the Battery Manufacturer

As you may have already been accustomed, we’ve been following with great attention every move Tesla Motors makes and every new prototype they release. Katie Fehrenbacher from GigaOm is also doing that. She actually went to test the new Model S in person and, as you can see in the following video, she was very impressed by both the aesthetics and the functionality.

As Katie reports, Tesla will also use batteries from Panasonic for its next 80,000 Model S units during the next four years.

Already having some 6,000 reservations for the car, the company will start producing it starting mid-2012 (as we’ve already said in an earlier article).
