Lexus RX400 Hybrid SUV Presentation

Lexus RX400 hybrid carHybrid car technology has revealed yet more assets for the 2006 Lexus Hybrid: Performance. In 2005, when the 2006 Lexus RX400 first came out into public, it revealed combined fuel efficiency with an EPA average rating for a four- cylinder compact sedan. The RX400h is a super ultra-low emissions vehicle. This means that if you drive from New York to LA and back nine times (54,000 miles) you would produce less-smog forming emissions than cars that are not super ultra-low emissions vehicles.

As with all Hybrid cars, the 2006 Lexus RX400h combines a gasoline engine with two electric drive motors. This new Hybrid system will deliver a peak output that is a 20% increase compared to the non-hybrid vehicle. What is equally as impressive is the passing acceleration of the high output electric motor as it delivers a high burst of torque. The advantage of a hybrid chassis is that it eliminates hardships associated with electric cars. It is able to provide breakthrough performance, very low exhaust emissions, and exemplary fuel efficiency.

With the introduction of the 2006 Lexus RX400h, a new era of improved performance vehicles will look to become known for their hybrid advantages of excellent fuel mileage and low emissions. The Lexus RX 400h is a “full hybrid” vehicle, which means that not only is it capable of operating as electric only or gas engine only mode, but it also has the capability to combine the power of the gas engine and electric motor. Other hybrid technologies are nowhere near capable of running only on electrical power and require constant gas engine operation.

Another advantage with the Lexus Hybrid chassis is that the alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and AC compressor are no longer driven by the engine belt. This is one of the fuel saving benefits of the Hybrid Chassis. A gas engine often shuts down when the vehicle stops or is driven slowly through traffic. This technology now allows for extended operation of the electric mode during low speed or stop and go driving conditions. Now a days most components are now electrically powered. This means notably lower losses to the engine and improved fuel consumption.

Finally, the Lexus RX400h has introduced a new braking system and better stability control of the vehicle. Because the brakes use the electric motor system, not only are they much more energy efficient, but they also allow for help recharging the batteries for the braking system. This is done through the process of capturing kinetic energy when the brakes are applied and transforming it into reusable energy. In turn, this allows for less amount of pressure needed to apply the brakes. This then helps to produce the exact amount of electrical regeneration and hydraulic pressure that is needed for any driving condition, thus improving the stability control of the vehicle.

If you are in the market for a car that is more ‘green’ than not, the Lexus RX400h Hybrid just might be the car for you. Check it out. You will be amazed by the advancements in technology that it has.
